Colposcopy and Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure
Colposcopy is a procedure used to examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva to identify areas that should be biopsied after an abnormal pap smear. Some cervical biopsy results warrant having a LEEP procedure to remove a larger portion of the cervix that has been identified as having pre-cancerous cells. We perform these in-office procedures when they are indicated.
