After a long career in both obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Sirott has decided to limit her practice to gynecology only. A native Southern Californian, she grew up in San Marino and after completing her medical degree at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico and her Ob/Gyn Residency training at Michigan State University, she returned to practice in Pasadena. She has been Board Certified on Ob/Gyn since 1992.
As an active participant in her specialty organization (the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology--ACOG) she has become an advocate for women's health issues at the State and National levels. She is currently Chair of ACOG District IX representing the 5800 Ob/Gyns of California. Her interests focus largely on legislation affecting women's reproductive health care and maternal mental health, particularly postpartum depression. In addition, she has been a leader within the Huntington Hospital medical staff where she has served as past Department of Ob/Gyn Chair and is currently Medical Executive Committee Secretary/Treasurer. Dr. Sirott is a Preferred Provider for: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, Keenan Health Plan (Huntington Employees), and Medicare. |
